Founded in 1949 by wounded warriors for wounded warriors, the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization (ZDVO) is the only organization officially recognized by and partnered with Israel's Ministry of Defense to provide lifelong rehabilitation for wounded members of all of Israel's security forces, including the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Mossad, Shin Bet, Israel Police, Fire & Rescue Services, and other security agencies.
Warriors of Israel was established in 1987 by a group of concerned Americans as the official U.S. partner of ZDVO, serving as the exclusive bridge connecting wounded warriors to lifelong, state-of-the-art rehabilitation and support.
We provide the care and resources needed to restore independence and rebuild the lives of our wounded warriors through our growing network of five Beit Halochem centers in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Be'er Sheva, and Ashdod - along with satellite programs throughout Israel.
From physical and mental health services to adaptive sports, education, career development, and family support, we give warriors a community to turn to at every stage of their journey.
Recovery is not measured in weeks or months - it is a lifelong journey.
